These award-winning marrons glacés are Walnut Tree’s signature chestnut confectionery — tender whole chestnuts slowly candied over 240 hours to develop their distinctive sweetness, delicate texture and refined flavour.
Only selected chestnut varieties are suitable for the traditional candying process. The chestnuts are chosen for their size, flavour and texture before being gradually immersed in syrup, allowing sweetness to penetrate slowly rather than overpower the natural character of the fruit.
Partway through the process, a delicate touch of vanilla is introduced. The result is a beautifully balanced marron glacé with a soft, almost melting texture and an elegant sweetness that lingers gently on the palate.
Inside the gift box are eight individually wrapped marrons glacés, each vacuum packed to protect its delicate texture and flavour until the moment it is opened.
