Walnut Tree: A Year in Review
Its hard to believe another year has passed; another tough round of lockdowns, restrictions and vaccinations. Despite this, we’ve weathered the storm at Walnut Tree, mostly thanks to our dedicated employees and our loyal customers. Without you, we could not have enjoyed the successful year that we have. Here are our highlights:
New products: A Year in Review
This year we introduced two new products to the lineup. First, our buttery, delicious pecans, coated in milk chocolate with a dusting of cocoa to top it off. These proved very popular and sold out over Christmas!
We also created an exclusive product for the Museum Collection – Figs hand dipped in dark chocolate. A truly luxurious, traditional Christmas treat that you can still purchase at https://www.museumselection.co.uk/all-gifts/dark-chocolate-sweet-figs/.

New packaging: A Year in Review
In addition to some new products, we also made some changes to our packaging!
We kept themes and colour schemes the same, and some elements such as our iconic canvas bags also remain.
What is different is the classy yet modern box and tissue paper for website orders.
Our very own Walnut Tree print in black and white is the new signature look – and people are loving it!
We have also changed the ribbons for a slightly more understated, elegant look.
Our scrolls also had a refresh.

Great Taste Award A Year in Review:
We won another Great Taste Award this year for our Glace Fruit! It was an honour to be chosen for this award by the esteemed judges. They said that our glace fruit are ‘beautifully even slices of citrus, evenly glazed’ and that ‘crystallisation was at just the right level so that you could still taste the citrus and it was not taken over by the sugar’.
Charity Partnerships: A Year in Review
This year, we have continued to deepen our relationships with charities we have already been working with.
We continue to support Future Dreams with donations made every time someone adds the code ‘ DREAM’ at the checkout. We also donate products for their hampers, which go to women going through cancer treatment. This charity means so much to us and we will continue to support them with your help.
We also did another successful seasonal charity campaign with Evie’s Night Owls and Jewish Women’s Aid over August-September which thanks to our customers, enabled us to donate a generous amount to these two incredible charities.
Instagram: A Year in Review
Our social media presence online has continued to grow. We have reached over 46,000 different accounts over the course of the year and gained many new customers as a result. It has been so much fun getting to ‘meet’ some of them online and engage in competitions and other interactions with them.
We also worked with lots of food bloggers and “influencers” to share our products with a wider audience, which was a real treat.
Christmas shows: A Year in Review
We were absolutely delighted to be back in person at the various Christmas fairs we missed so much last year. We were so pleased to see some familiar faces and meet new ones! It was a real privilege to be selected to attend these fairs, as most have had to reduce their capacity and we feel lucky that we were in a position to be able to exhibit.
