New Product – Pecans in Milk Chocolate Dusted Cocoa

Who doesn’t love new things? We do, and that’s why we couldn’t let a year go by without introducing a new product. So, new for 2021 are Pecans in Milk Chocolate Dusted Cocoa. They are buttery, delicious pecan, coated in milk chocolate with a dusting of cocoa to top it off.

Our chocolate covered nuts are among our most popular products, so it was natural for us to want to expand our range here. However, upon doing some research, we’ve learnt just how good pecans are for our health…

Health benefits of Pecans

Fully of fatty acids, pecans are proven to increase good cholesterol AND decrease bad cholesterol! This is very good for those with heart or coronary artery disease. Eating them also decreases the risk of developing these diseases.

Pecans contain lots of fibre, which make for a great slow energy-releasing snack. If you find your blood sugar levels tend to drop quickly, they are a good solution! Even better, WebMD says, “Pecans have a very low glycemic index, which means that eating them does not cause a spike in blood sugar, even in people with diabetes. Eating pecans can even offset the effects of higher glycemic index foods when eaten as part of the same meal.”

Additionally, pecans have anti-inflammatory ingredients like magnesium, vitamin E, calcium and zinc, which will relieve some symptoms of arthritis and other illnesses causing inflammation around the body.

What about the brain? Well, they are brimming with mono and polysaturated fats which improve the functioning of the brain. I would say that’s another point!
