My Birthday with Gratitude ….
Today is my birthday and unlike when I was a school girl when it was a day of fizz and pop, this year has been a day of reflection. I know I’m getting old because the days fly by, the weeks zoom past and the years disappear. So what have I been reflecting on ? Life, as I feel I’m living in a moving vortex, in fact maybe I’m the vortex twisting and stretching and interacting in a complex way. But I’m grateful to be have energy and a bit to much mass (the corona virus stone sits proudly on my hip)
So my reflection is on of gratitude, thank you to all my family for their good wishes, cards and presents, especially to our children for the incredible pair of shoes, thank you to my friends for their what app messages, the flowers on my doorstep at 7.30am, the cards and presents and thank you to my alternative family, the staff at the factory who are with me day in and day out … the perfume, is a good choice of gift but the picture will be treasured.
Thank you to the lady at the carpet warehouse for stopping for a chat, to the man in the garage for lending me his spanner and the delivery man for all my online shopping, it’s been a life line especially during lock-down.
Today we started to hand pack the most magnificent marzipan shaped fruits. Last years were good but this year thanks to new machinery, new packaging and some slightly amendments to the types of fruits I think we have surpassed ourselves. But you need to be the judge of that … please let us know what you think?
And a shout out thank you to Max and Simon at Kempner who are the guys to go to for machinery and shrink film. My machine faulted today and they kindly and calmly talked me through what could be going wrong and helped get the shrink wrap machine up and running.
